Build Relationships and Trust
The goal of every business owner, entrepreneur, solopreneur, or small business owner should be to build relationships with clients and customers so you increase customer retention.
Your website is often the first place where a visitor has an opportunity to get to know you. Yet getting visitors to remain on your website, for any length of time is an ongoing challenge.
Two Effective Ways to Do This Are:
1) Provide good content in different formats. People have different learning styles, so your visitors will stay longer if they find information in their preferred style.
2) Enhance the visitor's experience by providing answers to frequently asked questions, whether through an FAQ stand-alone page, or through a blog that educates, inspires, and answers questions.
Follow a Successful Blogger
I've been following Yaro Starak, a very successful blogger who lives the laptop lifestyle, for almost as long as I've been online. Â In reading some of his blog posts recently, I noted that he has increased the value and relationship building strategies on his website by adding a Live Chat feature. My interest was piqued.
As I read the post, I thought it was pretty exciting because many of us have a link on our websites that invites visitors to talk with us. The problem is that many readers are in a different time zone.
If you're getting a lot of people wanting to talk with you outside of normal business hours in your time zone, could Live Chat be a valuable tool to build relationships?
One thing I learned recently while studying how to improve customer retention is the importance of multiple lines of communication.
This means that your customers can get in touch with you and your team in different ways. They don't necessarily need to use all or any of the methods, simply making multiple options available increases your credibility.
His review of the different options available is extremely valuable. Read more about how Yaro uses Live Chat to build relationships and sales in the post, Why Adding A “Live Chat” To My Website Turned Into The Best Business Decision I Made In The Last 12 Months.
