In this interview, Jodi Hinkle discusses a number of strategies to tend to the “state of becoming” with a kind and compassionate inner voice that will ease you through any growing pains or emotional distress.
Making Progress in the Process of Becoming
Jodi explains that:
“My #1 priority is to regain my emotional footing, I do that by reaching for whatever feels like relief to me, that place that feels more peaceful.
Until I have regained my stability, it is not the time to focus on achieving my “goals”.
In fact, trying to force myself to make progress when I standing in a place that is lower on the emotional scale than content, only results in compounding the emotional resistance that is in my way.”
Knowing that life happens and that our limiting thoughts will trigger negative emotions, the question is How does one stay in the “state of becoming”?
Jodi’s company, HerQuest, has divided the Emotional Awareness Scale into 4 Zones, which has a corresponding self-care plan that fosters the atmosphere within and around you so that you move back up the scale and close the gap between what you believe you're worthy of and what your desire.
