What Is One of Your Business Passions?
Madeline shared that she came in on the back-end of business, and her biggest business passion is deep communication with others.
She loves talking with people and hearing their ideas then supporting them and watching them ‘just fly.’ She calls it selfish generosity.
With deep communication, Madeline understands what it’s like to be in a position where you need someone to help you fill different gaps, whether it’s in your personal or professional life. And she loves being the person who fills the gap for others and helps them connect from point A to point B, which is different for everyone.
Yvonne noted that Madeline’s branding included clarity, courage, and commitment, all of which require communication.

When did you discover deep communication was a passion of yours?
Madeline replied that it was a passion that came and left then came and left again.
She reminded our audience that when you go through peaks, and ebbs and flows, just like the ocean, you should go with it. For example, there were times when all she wanted to do was to go on stage and sing, then she’d want to do something else. She feels it’s important to go with the flow of your passion but to stay curious.
Professionally, about six years ago she decided to become a business coach.
Words of Wisdom to the D.I.V.A.S
You do so much. Give yourself credit for all the achievements that happened during your day. You are a genius, you are smart, you’ve got so much going on…Be courageous. Be quietly confident that we are not competing. We’re collaborating. We’re not men. We’re women. And it doesn’t mean you have to be loud. You need to speak up, and learn to stand in your integrity.
Madeline shared many valuable nuggets during the rest of the conversation. Nuggets like:
- She has strong faith and in her down moments she thanks God
- Important to know what makes you feel good and how the people you’re with feel. Focus on others and have a growth mindset so that you stay open to learning.
- For her, learning to stand in integrity is a lifelong project. Very often it takes courage as you may have to stand alone.
- She reminded us that it was important to get rid of guilt and shame which causes perfection paralysis and stand with grace and kindness.
